Being a Photographer is different from working an office job…or a retail job or most any non-creative job out there. Although you conduct yourself in a professional, business-like, non-emotional manner all of the time with your clients, there is something SO incredibly personal about the images that are offered back. Maybe all photographers can’t say this but it certainly is true for me. My work ever day, every project is emotional. I don’t believe you can do a good job photographing people if you’re not o p e n. Yep…heart-on-sleeve. Especially when it comes to Boudoir sessions!! I open myself to feel the vulnerability that my clients feel when they’re in my studio. I TAKE the time to get to know them a little before and during the session so they can feel comfortable.
So, one of the absolute best things that can ever happen to let you know you did a good job photographing a client is the testimonial. A few of these literally made me tear up when I read them because the happiness the testimonial conveys is what you strive for, always…. but don’t always hear back. I thought I would share a few of these that touched my heart! THIS is what keeps me loving what I do.
