Kristen & Andrew, The Rope Factory Brantford Wedding Photographer

I remember when I first met with Kristen and Andrew.  We sat in my studio and talked about the great ideas they had for their Wedding and what their vision was.  I was so in tune with what Kristen was describing that I blurted out how I thought the photographs of their day should be… timeless and classic.   That they shouldn’t look back on their Album and say, ‘Oh my God, what were we thinking?’  I remember Andrew saying…’Wow, Sherry you’re speaking her language’… as Kristen nodded her head with enthusiasm up and down in agreement.

That’s not to say that you shouldn’t have fun.  Not at all….

…but the multitude of jumping in the air and running at the camera and wacky photos shouldn’t be the majority of what you see when you look back.  It’s like your haircut in 1997…trendy and dated.  Including more of the candid, photo-journalist style really gives you more of a feeling of the day without being staged or posed.  It’s a much more organic way of capturing it all….and so that’s what we did.

The first look was beautiful and at an amazing location that had sentimental value.  I loved every moment of it!  It was perfect weather and breezy enough that the 34 degrees didn’t really feel that bad… at first…lol.

The Ceremony and meal was at Brantford’s newest event space The Rope Factory.  Owned and operated by the owners of On The Lam, and this was their first Wedding.  The inside is ultra cool and trendy with exposed brick, sliding wooden barn doors to enclose the food prep area and a gorgeous loooong bar.

It was the perfect spot for Kristen and Andrew’s Wedding.  All went off without a hitch and though I wasn’t around for the food….I’m guessing it was amazing!
