OK… honestly, I have been to a handful of Yoga classes in my life and can barely sit with my legs crossed *lol but Hot Yoga is my new FAVOURITE thing!!! A girlfriend found this studio on-line and talked me into trying it. I think we were both addicted immediately! With other Yoga classes I’ve attended before, I was always getting distracted and not able to quiet my mind. “Am I as bent over as she is?” “Are my feet lined up properly?” Blah, blah, blah…. I was always really missing the “experience” of Yoga. Ya know? Being in the zone; clear headed, relaxed and energetic. It’s all there and more for me during these hot classes. It’s almost like the heat feels so oppressive that it keeps me focused on my own body, less distracted. Plus the heat feels SOOOO good! Even when you’re sweaty and the middle of a workout!! Truth is…these classes have made me feel better than I’ve felt in years and I’ve only been going for a couple of months. My body is more toned and flexible. I’m calm and relaxed with a clear mind. 🙂
