Favourite ‘best light’ Wedding photo | Brantford Wedding Photography

The most incredible feeling for a photographer is knowing when you got the shot.  You can equate it maybe to a musician being ‘in the zone’ when they’re jamming with a band.  You just know.

This photo was one of those moments and was taken at one of the most special weddings I have had the privilege to photograph.  It was late September and in Sioux Saint Marie at a rustic but well equipped and lovely lodge.  An intimate, unique group of family and friends joined to spend the weekend and witness the marital bonding of this amazing couple.  The weather was cool and crisp with the onset of fall… leaves falling, colours changing.   Beautiful!

It was really crazy and cold, windy, rainy and volatile all day and then it just seemed to settle somewhat for the ceremony which was outside facing the spectacular lake!  Just when I thought we were getting a downpour, the sun peaked through which gave us just enough time to get the photos we needed.

This photograph is of the bride and her mother and is perfectly back lit!  A few moments of perfect light was all we needed.

My heart beat a little faster at that moment….sheer bliss   🙂

…I’m going to include a few other shots from this Wedding.  It was all just so cool 🙂
